Columbia Alumni Leaders Experience 2023

Saturday, October 21 | 12:00 PM - 12:50 PM

Panel: Taking Care of Business: Is Building Consensus Better Leadership?

Organizations often strive for consensus but it is not the easiest or fastest way to make a decision. How do you get to a consensus, who participates in it, and what does it look like? Is leadership by consensus a skill or a style? Does it create better solutions or better action plans? When is it better to simply make an executive decision? If the action was by consensus, who takes responsibility? See Alumni try to find leadership consensus about consensus.
